Personal
Venice Beach Los Angeles
Joe and I went on a twenty mile bike ride from Temescal Canyon to Marina Del Rey and back. At the Marina, we had a long dinner and some bloody marys to get us going. On our way back we had just enough stamina to stop in Venice and steal a few candids.
Inspired by Tom Kazuba’s “Shooting from the hip” series, I shot a few from the hip, or more like from the ground while sitting, and a few while looking through the viewfinder (Mother and daugter and Sunset).
It was a blast trying to capture the skaters without looking through the viewfinder and hard to do!

Candid photos of a little get-together
It feels like I took these candids ages ago and I’ve been meaning to post them since. A while back, I had the chance to catch up with my fellow friend and photographer Brad Buckman, his wife Rachel, and of course their newborn, Cooper, at his rooftop get-together. I try to bring my camera to these cozy outings to keep my photography fresh and to just plain practice! Brad’s rooftop downtown has the ideal backdrop for photography. This is where a few of his friends watch the LA sunset on a regular basis. That’s him in the hat and you can’t miss Rachel, the pretty girl with the big blue eyes carrying the baby! My friend Nellie from Geneva also joined me. You can’t beat a fantastic LA city skyline!
Graduation party: photos for my cousin
My cousin Arpi just graduated from pharmaceutical school. Now we have another drug dealer in the family (Kira you know what I mean). Whoohoo!
